ORIGIN OF THE RAMAYANA STORY-
The ramayana is traditionally attributed to the sage valmiki, who is believed to have composed it in sanskrit around 500 BCE to 100 BCE. according to legend, valmiki was inspired to write the epic after witnessing a poignant and moral incident involving a bird in his hermitage. This event led him to compose the ramayana, which became one of the oldest and most revered epics in hindu litreature.
EXPLAIN-
This is an ancient indian epic that revolves around prince rama, his wife sita, and loyal companion hanuman. Rama, an incarnation of the god vishnu, is unjustly sent into exile with sita and lakshmana. In the forest, sita is abucted by the demon king ravana.
Rama forms alliances with sugriva and hanuman to rescue sita. Hanumans
extraordinary feats include crossing the ocean to lanka, discovering sita, and conveying ramas
message to her. A fierce battle ensues between rama forces and ravan army. Rama, aided by hanuman, defeats ravana and rescues sita.
Upon their return to ayodhya, doubts about sitas
purity arise, leading to her self- exile into the earth. Rama, realizing her innocence too late, mourns the loss. The ramayana, with its profound moral teachings, explores themes of duty, love and the triumph of good over evil, leaving an enduring impact on hindu culture and philosophy.
